Redel, Kurt
Redel, Kurt , German flutist and conductor; b. Breslau, Oct. 8, 1918. He studied at the Breslau Cons.; also conducting with C. Krauss. In 1939 he became a member of the Salzburg Mozarteum Orch.; in 1941 he joined the orch. of the Bavarian State Opera in Munich. From 1946 to 1953 he taught at the North West German Music Academy in Detmold. In 1953 he founded the Pro Arte Orch. of Munich, with which he toured widely.
