Débuts: Bayreuth Fest. 1952; Vienna State Opera 1953; Salzburg Fest. 1954; London (RFH) 1954 (with Vienna Opera); S. Francisco 1957; Glyndebourne 1958. Outstanding in Mozart (Queen of the Night, Constanze, Pamina) and Strauss (Zerbinetta, Sophie), Verdi's Gilda.
