raking flashing
raking flashing. Flashing of metal (usually lead, but sometimes copper or zinc), following the slope of a pitched roof where it abuts a chimney, gable-parapet, wall, etc., set in a straight line with a raglet where stepped flashings (as would be usual with brickwork) are not possible (as with ashlar masonry).
