Benedict Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To provide financial support individuals for their first year of graduate study toward the master's, doctorate,

or professional degree at any recognized institution. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Nominee must be enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate with the baccalaureate degree during the school year in which application is made and must identify the graduate or professional school(s) to which he/she has applied for study the following fall. Criteria: Nominee must be enrolled for the following fall semester as a full-time student in graduate or professional study.

Funds Avail.: $2,500. Number Awarded: 10. To Apply: Nominee must submit the official nomination form completed, signed by the sponsor, and included with the entry; a letter of application from the student outlining his/her plans for study and detailing his/her extracurricular activities, maximum length of two pages, double-spaced; an academic paper or other appropriate work in the student's major field; one letter of recommendation/evaluation from a faculty member in the field represented by the paper or project addressed to the significance of the work; a self-addressed, stamped envelope. Deadline: February 22.

Gaston Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial support for the education of senior undergraduate students. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Nominee must be a senior year undergraduate student. Criteria: Nominee must be enrolled for the fall semester as a full-time student in undergraduate study toward the baccalaureate degree.

Pryor Graduate Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance individuals for full-time graduate or professional study (beyond the baccalaureate level). Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be an active alumni member and a graduate student member at Alpha Chi institutions at the time of application. Criteria: Candidates will be evaluated based on criteria by the Pryor Fellowship Committee.

Funds Avail.: $8,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit evidence of outstanding scholarship; 300-500 word essay introducing their academic/professional goals, but not indicating financial need; two letters of recommendation from employers or professors or other persons qualified to give an evaluation; two complete official transcripts sealed by registrar; copy of official results of GRE, LSAT, MCAT or equivalent to applicant's discipline; and completed application form. Deadline: February 1.

Sledge Fellowships (Graduate/Fellowship)
