AIMS Long-term Research Grants (Postdoctorate/Grant)

Purpose: To render fund for US scholars interested in conducting research on North Africa in any Maghrib country. Focus: General studies. Qualif.: Applicant must be a U.S. citizen graduate student, independent scholar, and faculty in all disciplines currently enrolled in a M.A. or Ph.D. program. Criteria: Applicant must be a member of AIMS at the time of application.

Funds Avail.: $15,000. Number Awarded: 1. To Apply:

Applicant must submit completed grant application, proposal or research design, proposed itinerary with approximate dates, budget, vitae indicating language proficiency and institutional affiliation, letters of recommendation from two referees, including the candidate's dissertation advisor, or in the case of applicants holding a Ph.D., the names of two persons who may be contacted for references, and one page summary of the proposed research in either French or Arabic.
