Elsa Barton Educational Scholarships Fund (Undergraduate/Scholarship)

Purpose: To provide financial assistance for post secondary educational needs of a spouse/partner or dependents of impaired, disabled, or deceased physicians unable to provide family income. Focus: General Studies. Qualif.: Program is open for the spouse, partner, widow, or child of an impaired, disabled or deceased physician who could exhibit a need for additional financial resources in acquiring a post secondary education or vocational training. Criteria: Recipient is selected based on financial need.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicants must submit completed application form available on the website; a brief statement (300 words or less) on the applicant's professional or vocational goals, explanation of financial situation, amount of funding needed and purpose, and list of financial aid or scholarships applicant receives or will be receiving; verification of financial need: CSS Financial Aid Profile, or FAFSA, and applicant's Federal Income Tax returns for years 2006 and 2007 (If applicant is a child of a physician, also include copies of both parents' Federal Income Tax Returns for years 2006 and 2007); Proof of physician's inability to practice or a death certificate; and the applicant's relevant high school, university, or course of study transcripts.
