Robert E. Altenhofen Memorial Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote education in the theoretical aspects of photogrammetry. Focus: Photogrammetry. Qualif.: Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate student members of ASPRS. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the highest overall ranking.
Funds Avail.: $2,000 and a certificate. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a statement (2
pages) regarding plans for continuing studies in theoretical photogrammetry; evidence of capabilities of the applicant in these fields; and academic transcripts.
Remarks: Funded by the estate of Mrs. Helen Altenhofen as a memorial to her husband and the past president of ASPRS, Robert E. Altenhofen.
Robert N. Colwell Memorial Fellowships (Doctorate, Graduate/Fellowship)
Purpose: To promote remote sensing or other related geospatial information technologies to college/university graduate students and to post-doctoral researchers. Focus: Remote sensing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduate student (Masters or PhD level); enrolled or planning to enroll in a college/university in the U.S. or Canada; or recently graduated post-doctoral researcher pursuing a study in remote sensing or related geospatial information technologies. Criteria: Recipients are selected based on the applications submitted.
Funds Avail.: $5,000 and a certificate. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a listing of courses taken; transcript of all college/university level courses completed; a listing of internships, special projects or work experience; three letters of recommendation; a statement (maximum of 2 pages) detailing the applicant's educational or research goals.
Remarks: Established in memory of Robert N. Colwell.
William A. Fisher Memorial Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To facilitate studies and career goals directed towards new and innovative uses of remote sensing data/techniques. Focus: Remote sensing. Qualif.: Applicants must be current or prospective graduate student members of ASPRS. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on the highest overall ranking.
Funds Avail.: $2,000 and a certificate. To Apply: Applicant must submit an application form; a statement (2 pages) detailing educational and career plans for continuing studies in remote sensing applications; transcript of grades. Deadline: December 3.
Intergraph Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To support graduate-level studies addressing new and innovative uses of signal processing, image processing techniques and the application of photogrammetry to real-world techniques. Focus: Photogrammetry. Qualif.: Applicant must be a member of ASPRS; currently pursuing graduate-level studies; or planning to enroll for graduate studies in a college/university in the U.S. or elsewhere. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on submitted applications.
Funds Avail.: $2,000. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a statement (2 pages) detailing educational and career plans for continuing studies in pho-togrammetric applications; two reference forms/letters from faculty members who have knowledge of the applicant's capabilities; and evidence materials of the applicant's capabilities in this field. Deadline: December 3.
Leica Geosystems Internships (Graduate/Internship)
Purpose: To fund a research or continue an existing Leica Geosystems project. Focus: Photogrammetry; Remote sensing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduate student of photogrammetry and remote sensing; and a student member of ASPRS. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on the submitted applications.
Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; letters of recommendation; official transcripts from each college and university attended; a proposal (maximum of 1000 words) stating the significance of the research, the proposed methodology, the expected results and a schedule. Deadline: December 3.
Remarks: Funded by Leica Geosystems GIS and Mapping, LLC.
Ta Liang Memorial Awards (Graduate/Grant)
Purpose: To support research-related travel in remote sensing. Focus: Remote sensing. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduate student member of ASPRS. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on scholastic record, research travel plan, letters of recommendation and community service activities.
Funds Avail.: $500. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a letter of recommendation; a statement (2 pages) detailing the plan for research-related travel; a transcript of all college-level courses completed and grades received; class rank; a description of extracurricular activities (particularly relating to community service). Deadline: December 3.
Francis H. Moffitt Memorial Scholarships (Graduate, Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote study in surveying and photogrammetry leading to a career in the geospatial mapping profession. Focus: Remote sensing; Photogrammetry. Qualif.: Applicants must be students currently enrolled or planning to enroll in a college/university in the United States or Canada; pursuing a program of study in surveying or photogrammetry. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on the submitted applications.
Funds Avail.: $2,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a listing of courses taken and/or those to be taken in surveying and photogrammetry and other related geospatial information technologies; a transcript of all college/university level courses completed; a listing of internships, special projects or work experience; two letters of recommendation or reference form; a statement (maximum of 2 pages) detailing the applicant's educational and research goals. Deadline: December 3.
Remarks: Established in memory of Frank Moffitt for his lifetime contributions to the photogrammetric surveying profession.

Qualif.: Applicant must be an undergraduate student enrolled or planning to enroll in a college/university in the U.S. Criteria: Applicants are selected based on the applications.

To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a listing of courses taken in surveying; mapping; photogrammetry and geospatial information and technology and the academic grades received; a transcript of all college or university level courses completed; two letters of recommendation from faculty members or professionals; evidence materials of the applicant's capabilities in
this field; a statement of work experience; and a personal statement (maximum of 2 pages).

Paul R. Wolf Memorial Scholarships (Graduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To encourage college students to enter the profession of teaching Surveying, Mapping or Photogram-metry. Focus: Photogrammetry, Education. Qualif.: Applicant must be a graduate student member of ASPRS; enrolled or planning to enroll in a college/university in the U.S.; pursuing a program of study in preparation for entering the teaching profession in the general area of Surveying, Mapping or Photogrammetry. Criteria: The committee evaluates each application and will select the applicant who best meets the criteria.
Funds Avail.: $1,500. To Apply: Applicants must submit an application form; a listing of courses taken in Surveying, Mapping and Photogrammetry and the academic grades received; a transcript of all college or university level courses; two letters of recommendation from faculty members having knowledge of the applicant's capabilities as an educator in this field; evidence materials of the applicant's capabilities in this field; and a statement of teaching experience. Deadline: December 3. Remarks: Established in memory of Paul R. Wolf.
