International Society for Humor Studies Graduate Student Awards (GSA) (Graduate/Award/Prize)

Purpose: To recognize outstanding scholars and promising graduate students conducting research in humor studies with either a Scholarly Contribution or a Graduate Student Award. Focus: Humanities. Qualif.: Applicants must be graduate students working toward master's or doctorate degrees and doing noteworthy research within humor studies and/or all ISHS graduate student members planning to attend the Society's annual conference. Criteria: Candidate will be evaluated by ISHS Awards Committee based on merit.

Funds Avail.: No specific amount. To Apply: Applicant must submit a letter of intent to compete for a GSA, a description of their research program within humor studies, a presentation proposal, and all required registration materials and fees.

International Society for Humor Studies Scholarly Contribution Awards (SCA) (Graduate/Award/Prize)

Purpose: To recognize outstanding scholars and promising graduate students conducting research in humor studies with either a Scholarly Contribution or a Graduate Student Award. Focus: Humanities. Qualif.: Applicants must be researchers doing important work but lacking international recognition due to limited opportunities to travel or to publish outside of their region of the world and scholars involved in humor research through high quality publications, conference presentations, and other scholarly activities. Criteria: Candidates will be evaluated by the ISHS Awards Committee.
