Pennsylvania Land Surveyors Foundation Scholarships (Undergraduate/Scholarship)
Purpose: To promote, improve and encourage the profession and practice of land surveying in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by providing financial assistance to those persons intending to pursue or who are currently pursuing an education in surveying with an ultimate goal of becoming practicing Professional Land Surveyors. Focus: Surveying. Qualif.: Applicants must: be citizens of the United States and be residents of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania; be enrolled in or accepted in a two-year Surveying Technology Program or a four-year Bachelor of Science Program in Land Surveying; submit copies of SAT scores and high school or college transcripts with completed Transcript Release Form from Guidance Office or Registrar's Office. Criteria: Selection will be based on performance factors, applicant's activities, application preparation, Guidance Counselor/Advisor evaluation, applicant's potential as a Professional Land Surveyor.
Funds Avail.: $20,000. To Apply: Application form can be downloaded online. Each portion of the application has a specific point value. Judges will score each section separately. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Forms must be typed or neatly printed. Use of separate paper will be accepted. Points may be lost for poor grammar, incorrect spelling, illegibility, or lack of neatness. Proofread carefully. Applicants must submit a recommendation form to their Guidance Counselor/Advisor.
