Aubervilliers
Aubervilliers (ōbervēlyā´), town (1990 pop. 67,836), Seine–Saint Denis dept., N central France, NE of Paris. It is an important industrial center where chemicals, pharmaceuticals, metals, and leather goods are produced. Aubervilliers was a pilgrimage site from the 14th cent. onward. The Church of Notre-Dame-des-Vésus dates from the 15th to the 16th cent.
