Varnsdorf (värns´dôrf), Ger. Warnsdorf, city (1991 pop. 16,266), N Czech Republic, in Bohemia, on the German border. It is a railway junction and a textile manufacturing center. The village was known in the 14th cent.; the city was founded in 1849 through the union of six settlements.
