Eknāth
Eknāth or Ekanātha (c.1535–99). Marātḥī Hindu scholar and poet.
His most important service to the Marātḥī language is undoubtedly the editing of Jnāneśverī. He obtained the manuscripts written 300 years previously and restored the famous commentary to its original form. He died at Paitḥaṇ on the banks of the Godāvarī River, where a temple is dedicated to him.
