Manasā

Manasā. A Goddess of folk Hinduism worshipped in Bengal and neighbouring areas by middle and lower strata of society. From c.14th cent. onward, she played an important role in Bengali literature, but failed to reach the same level of popular veneration as Caṇḍī, Durgā, and Kālī in this region.
