Nanto
Nanto (Jap., ‘the southern capital’). The Japanese city and its environment of Nara, associated with Nara Buddhism. Nanto Rokushu are thus the Six Sects (for list, see NARA BUDDHISM), and Nanto no shichidaiji are the seven great temples of Nara.
