Ilanos
Ilanos The savannah grasslands of the Orinoco basin of Venezuela. Some authorities have suggested that the paucity of trees is due to the heavy subsoil of the region, which produces very wet conditions during the rainy season. It is more likely, however, that fire and grazing are responsible for preventing the development of woodland.
