Mammea (family Guttiferae) A genus of small, evergreen trees, whose flowers have sepals that are fused, later splitting with 2 valves, usually 4 petals, and many stamens. The fruit is a drupe (sometimes edible). There are about 50 species, with a pantropical distribution centred on South-east Asia.
