Zoomastigophorea (subphylum Sarcomastigophora, superclass Mastigophora) A class of animal-like protozoa which bear one or more flagella. Some members can also form pseudopodia. No species contains chloroplasts. There are nine orders, and many families, found in a wide range of habitats.
