Atkinson, Ti-Grace (1939–)

American feminist. Born 1939 in US; University of Pennsylvania, BA (1964); attended Columbia University.

Second-Wave feminist who abandoned liberal politics of National Organization for Women (NOW) in favor of more radical feminist agenda as laid out in her collection of essays Amazon Odyssey (1974); an early member of NOW, became president of NY chapter, but resigned (1968); co-founded leaderless group The Feminists, dedicated to the elimination of marriage and patriarchy; fought for rights of gays and lesbians and end to all social constructions oppressive to women; was a professor at Tufts University.
