American pilot. Born c. 1892 in Seattle, Washington; died June 16, 1984, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
The 1st woman to receive a commercial pilot's license (1932), worked as corporate pilot for husband's law firm; served as captain in the Civil Air Patrol and ferry pilot in Army Air Corps during WWII.
