Dodge, Grace Hoadley (1856–1914)

American social-welfare worker. Born Grace Hoadley Dodge, May 21, 1856, in New York, NY; died Dec 27, 1914, in New York, NY; dau. of William Earl Dodge Jr. and Sarah (Hoadley) Dodge; attended Miss Porter's School in Farmington, Connecticut; never married; no children.

Established Industrial Education Association, NY (1884), which later became Teachers College (1892); established Girls' Public School Athletic League (1905); named president of national YWCA (1906) and worked to unite national and international YWCA.
