American figure roller skater. Born 1956 in San Antonio, Texas.
One of few female skaters to perform triple Salchow jump and triple Mapes, won 1st skating event at age 7; held national singles title by 16; became 1st woman World champion in figure roller skating (Rome, 1976); defended title in Montreal, Canada (1977); became 3-time world champion and 9-time US national champion by 1979.
