The 1st woman to publish a novel in post-1945 Albania, worked as journalist and editor after graduating from University of Tirana; writings include Turn off the Light, Vera! (1965), A Difficult Birth (1970), The Bridge and the State of Siege (1978), The Spouses (1981) and Një grua nga Tirana (1994).
