Lloyd, Rosie (b. 1879)
English comedian and music-hall performer. Born Rose Wood, June 5, 1879, in Hoxton, England; dau. of John Wood and Matilda (Archer) Wood; sister of Daisey Wood, Grace Lloyd, Alice Lloyd (1873–1949), and Marie Lloyd (music-hall star, 1870–1922).
Appeared successfully at several London halls, most of the leading provincial halls, and in pantomimes.
