M'rabet, Fadéla (1935–)
Algerian writer and feminist. Name variations: Fadela M'rabet or Mrabet. Born 1935 in Constantine, Algeria; graduate of University of Algiers.
A leading voice for feminism in Algeria, 1st worked with father at Algerian state radio station, where she was responsible for a woman's program; published 1st book, La Femme algérienne (1962), a collection of interviews with women concerning the Algerian war for independence, followed by Les algériennes and L'Algérie des illusions (1973).
