Did not lose an 800-meters race for almost 4 years (1992–95); won World championship for 800 meters (1993, 2001); won a gold medal for the 800 at Commonwealth Games (1998, 2002); won a bronze medal at Atlanta Olympics (1996) and a gold medal at Sydney Olympics (2000), both for the 800 meters.
