Overbeck, Carla (1969–)
American soccer player. Born Carla Werden, May 9, 1969, in Pasadena, CA; attended University of North Carolina; m. Greg Overbeck (restaurateur).
Defender and midfielder; at World Cup, won a team gold medal (1991, 1999) and a bronze medal (1995); won a team gold medal at Atlanta Olympics (1996) and a team silver at Sydney Olympics (2000); was a founding member of the Women's United Soccer Association (WUSA); signed with the Carolina Courage (2001).
