Leading player during silent era, appeared in such films as The Blue Danube, Lavender and Old Lace, The Rush Hour, Sinners in Love, Marriage Playground, Queen Kelly, and as Princess Beloved in Intolerance, having used her real name in early credits; retired from acting (1933), then collaborated on many screenplays (1934–47).
