Known for deadpan stage humor, formed critically acclaimed band, The Roches, in NY (1976), with sisters Maggie and Terre; appeared in several films, including Crossing Delancey (1988), for which she also sang, and Me and Veronica (1992); pursued solo career (1995), releasing albums Holy Smokes (1997) and Songs From an Unmarried Housewife and Mother, Greenwich Village, USA (2000).
