Made film debut in Ninotchka (1939); also appeared in Mission to Moscow, The Jolson Story, It Happened in Brooklyn, Northwest Outpost, The Snake Pit, Walk a Crooked Mile, The Red Danube, Anastasia and Romanoff and Juliet.
