American field-hockey player. Born Nov 14, 1957, in Honolulu, Hawaii; dau. of James Shelton (lieutenant colonel in the army); attended West Chester State College; m. Willie Scroggs (athletic director); children: William.
At Los Angeles Olympics, won a bronze medal in team competition (1984); became head coach of field hockey at University of North Carolina (1981). Was US Field Hockey's Athlete of the Year (1983); inducted into USFHA Hall of Fame (1989).
