American golfer. Born Feb 9, 1909, in Chicago, IL; died Feb 18, 1997; lived with Janet E. Towne (Chicago obstetrician and gynecologist, died 1999).
Won Chicago District GA championship (1926–28); won USGA Women's Amateur three times in a row (1932–34); member of Curtis Cup team (1932, 1934); then retired from golf. Named Associated Press Female Athlete of the Year (1934).
