American ballet dancer. Name variations: Norma Kaplan. Born May 1927 in New York, NY; died in plane crash, April 15, 1956.
Trained with Mikhail Mordkin and Maria YurievnaSwoboda during adolescence; danced with Ballet Theater (1946–52), where she created a role in William Dollar's Jeux (1950), among others; danced in Antony Tudor repertory to great acclaim, among them Gala Performance and Pillar of Fire.
