Ambitious but not always successful stew of ethnic hatred, war, romance, and identity. Kenan (Drmac) is Muslim; his lover Milan (Filpovic) is a Bosnian Serb and when the ethnic conflicts break out in Sarajevo in 1992, the two decide to flee to the Netherlands. Only their train is stopped by Bosnian soldiers, so Milan disguises Kenan as a woman and says she's his wife. Forced to find refuge with Milan's father Ljubo (Serbedzija) in his Bosnian hometown, the two attempt to continue their deception. Then Milan gets drafted and barkeep Ranka (Burina) discovers Kenan's secret. Bosnian with subtitles. 97m/C DVD .
