HANCOCK, James (A.). British, b. 1921. Genres: Zoology. Career: Burmah Oil Co., Swindon, England, divisional director, 1947-75; Ethyl Corp., Richmond, VA, president of Cooper Division, 1975-79. Cox & Kings, guest lecturer for wildlife tours in Africa and India, and organizer of Jungle Odyssey Tours to India, Nepal, and Kenya; member of Mountfort Expedition to Pakistan; leader of colonial waterbird research expeditions to Argentina, 1980, China, 1981, and Australia, 1986; conducted field studies in India, Peru, Chile, Brazil, Indonesia, Thailand, Kenya, South Africa, the Seychelles, Singapore, Japan, Canada, Zimbabwe, and the United States.
