Ice Age: The Meltdown
Ice Age: The Meltdown ★★½ 2006 (PG)
Okay, so global warming gets its licks in but this is hardly an environmental diatribe. Anyway, the glaciers are melting, the water is rising, and the animals are on the move to higher, drier ground. Manny (Romano) believes he's the last wooly mammoth left until he meets flirty Ellie (Queen Latifah), who thinks she's actually a possum like her two foster brothers (Scott & Peck). Fast-talking Sid (Leguizamo) and grumpy Diego (Leary) are part of the mix as is acorn-chasing, scene-stealing Scrat. The animation still rocks even if the adventures are a mild retread. 90m/C DVD, Blu-ray Disc .
