Career: Visiting lecturer in drawing and design at London Central School of Arts and Crafts, 1961-64, and City of London Polytechnic, 1964-; artist; author and illustrator of children's books, 1983-. Freelance textile designer for Edinburgh Weavers, 1961-63; illustrator for Private Eye magazine, 1969-; artist of background paintings for feature and television films, 1975-85; artist for animation films, British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC-TV), and London Weekend Television, 1975-88; artist for advertising agencies, including J. Walter Thompson and McCann-Erikson.
