LACHNER, Dorothea. (Dorothea Knobloch). Austrian, b. 1951. Genres: Children's fiction. Career: Writer. Held a variety of jobs in Germany and Austria, 1969-72; worked as a teacher in Austria, 1972-74 and (with mentally impaired children) 1976-81. Has worked with the mentally and physically impaired, 1987-95. Publications: Das grune Pferd im Himbeerbusch, 1995; Muensteraner autorenpreis fur Kinder-u-Jugend Theater, 2001; UA, 2003.
