Smalltown newspaper owner Kenesaw Clark (Rogers) befriends young Lee Austin (Cromwell), who was framed for bank robbery. In retaliation, banker Abercrombie (Barbier) forecloses on the paper, but that doesn't stop Clark's investigation.
