Mad Money
Mad Money ★½ 2008 (PG-13)
Bridget (Keaton), a middle-class wife and mother, is in trouble when her husband (Danson) is downsized and her comfortable home and lifestyle are threatened. The only job she can find is as a janitor at the Federal Reserve Bank, where she forges unlikely friendships with single mom Nina (Queen Latifah) and young dreamer Jackie (Holmes). Of course, the women aren't content in their menial positions and find, ahem, an opportunity to even the score. Reluctant at first, Nina and Jackie end up following Bridget's lead, and the gals hatch a scheme to “recycle” (i.e., steal) old, out-of-circulation bills that are about to be destroyed anyway. What can it hurt? Bridget gets greedy and the plan starts to fall apart, but no matter, the fizzling silliness continues in this madcap caper that's just a little too mad. 104m/C DVD .
