An Army major is assigned to a Japanese airbase during the Korean conflict at the behest of his future fatherinlaw. Dissatisfied with his impending marriage, he finds himself drawn to a Japanese dancer and becomes involved in the affairs of his buddy who, against official policy, marries a Japanese woman.
