FBI agent Jim Conway (Morris) is shunted into a job in the DA's office. He meets playgirl debutante Letty Lane (Johnson) and falls for her more sedate sister Susan (Mercer). Since Letty has a boyfriend (Cabot) who's involved with the mob, Jim decides to use his new position to go after racketeers. Inspired by the career of New York district attorney Thomas E.
