Stage Door Canteen ★★ ½ 1943

The Stage Door Canteens were operated by the American Theatre Wing during WWII for servicemen on leave. They were staffed by some of the biggest stars of the day, 65 of whom are featured here. The slight, hokey plot concerns three soldiers who fall for canteen workers while on furlough in NYC. Many musical numbers, cameos, and walk-ons by a plethora of stars.
