Two Much
Two Much ★½ 1996 (PG-13)
Band eras does double duty as a con man pre tending to be twins in order to romance two sisters (Griffith and Hannah). Embar rassingly light comedy suffers from a com plicated plot (which still manages to leave holes), weak or nonexistent characteriza tion, and a general lack of humor. About the only thing it has going for it is Cusack as a wisecracking secretary. It was on the set of this film that Banderas and Griffith started their real-life romance. While that may have helped the box-office and gossip columns in Banderas's homeland, the fireworks didn't find their way to the screen. 118m/C VHS, DVD . Melanie Griffith, Antonio Banderas, Daryl Hannah, Joan Cusack, Danny Aiello, Eli Wallach, Vincent Schiavelli; D: Fernando Trueba; W: Fernando Trueba, David Trueba; C: Jose Luis Alcaine; M: Michel Camilo.
