Amicis, Anna Lucia de

Amicis, Anna Lucia de, Italian soprano; b. Naples, 1733; d. there, 1816. She went to London in 1763, where she appeared in concert with Johann Christian Bach. Returning to Naples, she married the physician Francesco Buonsollazzi (1768) and thenceforth appeared under the name De Amicis Buonsollazzi; she continued her active career as an opera singer until 1786. Her talent was appreciated by Mozart, who often mentioned her name in his correspondence.
