Arrieu, Claude
Arrieu, Claude, French composer; b. Paris, Nov. 30, 1903; d. there, March 7, 1990. She studied piano with Marguerite Long and took courses in composition at the Paris Cons, with Dukas, G. Caussade, Roger-Ducasse, and N. Galloń, graduating with a premier prix in 1932. In 1949 she received the Prix Italia. She was notably successful as a composer for the theater.
