Bália, Josef
Bália, Josef, Bohemian composer; b. Prague, c. 1746; d. Vienna, June 13, 1787. After serving as an organist in Prague, he settled in Vienna. His works include the opera La Diavolessa for the Burgtheater (July 18, 1772), several other operas, 13 syms., six string quartets, and six keyboard sonatas.
