Bauldewijn (also Bauldeweyn, Bauldoin, Baudoin, etc.), Noël, Flemish composer; b. c. 1480; d. Antwerp, 1530. He was magister cantorum at the church of St.-Rombaut in Mechelen (1509–13), then at Notre Dame Cathedral in Antwerp, a post he most likely kept until his death. He wrote masses, motets, and several secular works. For an exposition concerning conflicting attributions of his output, see E. Sparks, The Music of N. B. (N.Y., 1972).
