Bendinelli, Cesare
Bendinelli, Cesare, Italian trumpeter; d. probably in Munich, 1617. He became a trumpeter in Vienna in 1567. He was called to Munich in 1580 as chief trumpeter at the court, a post he held until his death. He prepared the earliest known trumpet method, Tutta l’arte della trombetta (publ. in Documenta Musicologica, second series, V, 1975; Eng. tr., 1976).
