Bullis, Thomas

Bullis, Thomas, English organist and composer; b. Ely (baptized), Nov. 8, 1657; d. there (buried), Aug. 24, 1712. He was the son of the English composer Thomas Bullis (b. Ely [baptized], Aug. 26, 1627; d. there (buried), Jan. 23, 1708). He was a chorister and lay clerk under John Ferrabosco at Ely Cathedral, where he also acted occasionally as organist. He was also active at Holy Trinity in Ely. Bullis composed a number of fine services and anthems.
