Caro, Paul
German composer; b. Breslau, Oct. 25, 1859; d. there, June 23, 1914. He was a student of Bruckner at the Vienna Cons. (1880–85). Among his works were two operas, Hero unà Leander (Breslau, May 31, 1912) and Die Hochzeit von Ulfosti, five syms., two serenades for Strings, 34 string quartets, piano pieces, a Requiem, cantatas, and songs.
